What were the colors before?

Navy goes with just about everything, can you add navy in to the color scheme you originally wanted? Or does he want a different shade of blue?

How would he feel about cranberry/burgundy? If you drop the royal blue, you could do sky/baby blue with cranberry/burgundy and maybe a very light greige and very dark blue (called midnight blue a lot of places, darker than navy, almost black).

Another option would be to go for gold or yellow tones instead of the purples, but I would darken the royal blue to closer to navy if you go that route.

One thing to remind him in all of this is that some of your wedding colors should be colors that flowers grow in naturally, especially flowers that are in season for your wedding. So, look at chrysanthemums, dahlias, marigolds, etc, and see if he likes any of the colors you see in those.

A burgundy along with the other blues would look pretty together! Maybe he'll be more on board with burgundy/maroon-ish

Oh for sure!! I love how navy and burgundy look, and the blush and dusty blue would accent those two deep colors really well!!!
