Need help with music!

Erika, on September 8, 2019 at 2:24 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
Hello!
I’m getting married in late November and having a cute simple backyard wedding. We’re hiring a DJ for a few hours starting at 7 or 8pm, but we’re not sure what to do about the music for the ceremony. The ceremony will be starting at 4pm followed by the dinner and then the dance. What would be a good solution for music for the ceremony and after? Any tips are appreciated! Thanks (:

We are having my stepbrother play guitar as our guests arrive and are seated before the ceremony. He’ll also play the bridal march for me. Our DJ is providing speakers for that and our ceremony.

We used two large speakers for our ceremony hooked up to our phone and played from a playlist we made.

I hired a violin and guitar player to do prelude and ceremony music. We’re having the dj do the cocktail hour, but we could have as easily had them do the cocktail hour too.

We hired a musician to play for ceremony/cocktail hour/dinner for our small wedding. For the ceremony he’ll just be doing instrumental.
