Need help with crinoline please...

Jessica, on May 12, 2019 at 2:21 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
So, I am trying to pick out crinoline for my dress. I already have my dress and it is now with the seamstress. She told me to pick out whichever crinoline I want and bring it to my next apt in 2 weeks.

So I've been searching and didnt realize their were so many kinds. My dress is a Mermaid fit by Maggie Sottero. I attached pics of what happens when I walk without a crinoline on and another pic more of how I'd like it to look (this was from the attendant fluffing it out though). I would actually like it a little bit fuller than it is in the second image.

My question is I've found tons of crinoline online but dont know which one to order.
Do I need hoops? If so, one or two? If not, do I need "wavy" crinoline? It just plain straight? I have about 4 extra inches in length according to my seamstress so too 'big' for crinoline shouldn't be a problem.

I added several pics of crinoline I've been looking at as well.

Please help if you have any experience with this! I unfortunately do not. I have not worn crinoline since I was a little girl. My prom dresses were all sheath so I didnt have a need.

Thanks in advance!

Can you ask your seamstress to just sew in the layers of crinoline? This is what I’m having done with my gown. I was originally going to get a separate crinoline petticoat like you’ve been looking at, but they told me they could just sew it in for me and I don’t have to worry about it. Plus, the fit of my dress is so perfect through the waist and hips that we didn’t want to add the petticoat up under there.

Oh that's an awesome idea! I will call tomorrow to ask. She didnt say anything about that but crinoline was also not the priority during my last visit.

Hey Jessica! Did you get a chance to discuss this with your seamstress? I think it's an awesome idea to have her sew layers into your dress, instead of having to wear an entire crinoline underneath your dress.
