Need help planning a Gothic wedding

Krystal Ann, on February 23, 2018 at 11:14 PM Posted in Planning 1 18
My FH and I are getting married this Halloween and our wedding theme is Victorian Gothic. I have some cute ideas but I'm stuck on a few things. One of the main things I am stuck on is Gothic centerpieces. Can anyone please help me?

When I think gothic I always think Victorian. I envision dark moody colors like burgundy with gold accents. I'm not sure how expensive it would be but I think candelabras would look dark and romantic at the same time.

This option would be pretty inexpensive, although I think candelabras would be awesome!

Im doing a gothic beauty and the beast for mine and plan on doing black linens with tall candelabras with abunch of candles around the bottom. Also going to place a real red rose on each plate.

We're having a horror themed wedding and parts of our centerpieces are wax dripped wine bottles. They look really cool and I think they would work well for your theme too.

I agree with candelabras. Maybe dark red velvet accents or black lace would look really great.

I've been getting quite a few of my ideas from Pinterest. I'm just having trouble with deciding on the centerpieces Justin and I should use. Justin wants to go with red and black, which are his favorite colors. I've been sending him photos of different wedding cakes, as we are currently in a long distance relationship. He is seeming to lean more toward white wedding cakes with intricate black lace designs.

I've been thinking of making my own table runners using red velvet or satin with black lace. I have also been seriously considering using candelabras but I don't know if I should buy or rent them for use during the wedding and reception. Justin and I have been considering tying the knot in Louisiana. Any suggestions?

Oooh in LA too? This is giving me all the True Blood/Interview with the Vampire vibes! I love it!! I think you could totally make your own table runners. As far as the candelabras go, you might want to rent them. That would definitely be the quickest and easiest. It might be hard or expensive to find so many matching ones. Eek! So exciting!

Maybe lanterns? These are ones I'm 3D printing for my wedding which isn't Gothic or Victorian but I think they could fit in as some pretty cool components to centerpieces

How would you do the wax dripped wine bottles? I think they be beautiful if they were spray painted a matte black with burgundy wax dripped on them.
