Need help deciding on a dress.

Mila, on November 23, 2020 at 4:50 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 36

My wedding will be in January 2022 and we are having it abroad where likely hood of snow is high. I have been going back and forth on these two dresses. The first one I tried on and loved its the crystal designs/wona concept riviera and its gorgeous the skirt has layers of lace and a layer of sparkles and I love the tulle bow! My mom loved this one and surprisingly so did I even though its something I never thought I would go for. The second one I found online which is the Wtoo Olympia gown and my heart fluttered when I saw this dress and its a lot more along the lines what I always had in mind, Only thing is it is strapless but I was thinking of getting the polka dot bridal top to go on top? (Just for the winter aspect) but nowhere near me stocks it and unfortunately due to covid I can't travel out of my country as were in lockdown (I'm not in the US). So my question is which one would you choose? Ill also attach a photo of my venue for some style inspiration.

Love the first dress for a winter wedding! The second dress is pretty as well, but it reads more summer/spring, as does the sheer polka dot topper. Plus, the second dress is very voluminous and so is the topper- I think it would end up adding a lot of bulk to your frame. That is why you typically only see those pouffy toppers paired with plain, fitted dresses.

I think both dresses are beautiful, but the first one vlooks better for a winter wedding. There is also no way I would buy a wedding dress without trying it on before so since that isn't an option I wouldn't even consider the second one.

I love the 1st one & it definitely goes with the winter wedding vibe. It’s gorgeous on you! Personally, as others have said, I would never purchase a gown online. There’s just too many variables that could go wrong.

Thank you all so much for your help I actually already bought the first one in June as it was a sample dress and it was discontinued and half price so I was scared someone else would buy it, didn't want to add that in incase everyone swayed towards that because I have it Smiley laugh its currently at my moms house three hours away but she will be travelling down in two weeks and will bring it with her so I can try it on again, I think my major issue is that I'll need a reception dress with it as its very heavy and the long sleeves I might get too warm.

Thank you again to everyone who helped I really appreciate it Smiley heart

You look great in the first one. And I would be careful buying a dress online that you havent tried on before. Sometimes once you try it on it doesnt look as magical as you imagined. The first dress is absolutely stunning btw.

Def. in love with #1 for a winter wedding and snow!

I will say that if there's a possibility of adding sleeves to the second one....girl....total game changer. I just love the flow of the second, but if sleeves aren't possible then go with #1!

The first one is so unique and I think of it being worn at a winter wedding, it just has the look and feel about it, but then again the second one makes me also think winter because of how the skirt has all the layers to it and makes me think of piles of snow (light, fluffy, different depths to the piles). Plus if able to add the sleeves to it, oh my gosh that would be so beautiful! Definitely check into the possibility of adding the sleeves to the second one. I truly believe that either one you choose that you can't go wrong with that choice as they are both so beautiful and would work for the look you're going for!

My favorite is the second dress but it doesn’t feel like a winter wedding dress to me so for winter I like the first one.

The venue is gorgeous first off all! As far as the dresses, i love the first one. I think i would get some minor alterations on the sleeves for them to be tighter, but i really think its pretty. Love the back of it too. Smiley heart
