Hi, so I just got my cake sketches back and I am deciding on which out of the 4 designs I love. I am going to see her this morning at 11am. So I need help....Each cake has a different serving size that range between 40-64. So my question is, Do I need to also serve my staff cake if I am already serving them a plate of food? Just wondering....Also, shall I serve the little kids cake or shall i give them cupcakes instead?

I don’t think the staff necessarily needs cake and I would t have cupcakes done up just for the kids if you weren’t already planning on having cupcakes anyway. They can just eat the regular cake.

Hi Vivian, it's not necessary to plan cake for the staff. If they really want something, they'll likely grab leftovers.

As per the kids, is there a specific reason you want a different cake for the kids? If you're worried about mess or flavor, I love the idea of doing cupcakes. Just keep in mind that other people (adults) might grab the kids cake/cupcakes too. You'd likely want to get extra.

So the cupcakes for the kids was an idea because. Most of them are little and they most likely won't eat it all or like the flavors/fillings. I know that 95% of the kids are very picky. That I am even getting them pizza instead of the food I got for the same reason that they won't like it and it will go to waist....

You don't have to serve staff cake. A meal is more than enough. And for the kids, I don't think it is necessary to get them cupcakes. Your cake should be okay.

What kind of flavors and fillings are you considering? My kids are picky about almost everything except sweets really, and if they don’t like something they’ll eat around it. I would agree with the PPs that adults are also likely to grab cupcakes.
I think it’s nice you’re getting the kids pizza, hopefully it’s a hit. A couple caterers I spoke with did specific dishes for kids usually macaroni and cheese and chicken strips.

I don't think your staff needs cake at all and keep in mind when people cut cake their size they cut it is so different. It's nice to give kids something else but I don't think that's necessary, even.

Wow, you are going above and beyond. I say no to cake for staff but if there are leftovers then of course. If you have a budget for extra for kids and there are a lot of kids at your wedding, I say go for it.

Our cake is a 6 inch round, and 8 inch round with 50 cupcakes (I ordered 14 more than the pre-package kit). It will fed about 100 people.
