Need Help Asap! How do i fix the gap in my bust area?!?!

Anna, on April 18, 2020 at 1:39 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

I know this is a little late, but i just got my dress today. My wedding is tomorrow!! Well i wasn't able to get in a last fiting. Before the shutdown, i noticed this. The seamstress said she can fix it. Well she tighten the sides and nothing. She said she would add hooks, that was all before the shutdown. For the second fitting, she said the dress was just heavy, thats when she suggested the hooks. I even ordered a special bra and Hollywood tape. I tried it on today and the gap is still there. I feel so uncomfortable. from far away you can't notice it but if someone looks down, they definitely can see something. Is there any ideas? Am i adding the hollywood tape wrong? Should i add it to the dress, the skin? Any ideas would help. Thank you.

If your adding oils or lotions to your breasts that may be the reason the tape is wrinkling. Also the tape doesn’t go across the top of your breasts. I would do an X formation on the underside of your breasts, with the top lines of the x on either side of your nipple, so the tape would be on the sides and not visible from the top. Also, maybe try it with just the bra and without the tape.

This is the reason I am not going to wear anything. My dress came with a push up cup but I asked the seamstress to take it out and secure the thinnest cup she has, so my areola won’t be visible through my dress.

My daughter wear that kind of stickies for her summer dresses, and there is a way to apply them. Start sticking it as far left or right, and pull the stickies all the way to the other side pushing them together. Those wrinkles are from being too large. If you have a spare, try to cut off the thin layer on the top so at least that’s not going to show.

Stickies should be worn on dry skin, so... no oil, no lotion. Otherwise they won’t stick well.

I know. That’s what I advised OP, that if she is adding oils and lotions to her skin that’s why the tape may be wrinkling.

If the skin isn’t dry, it won’t even stick 😉 My daughter “ruined” one of them because she used body butter before putting it on, and she could no longer feel that one sticking enough anymore.
