Need an aisle runner?

Kristen, on July 12, 2020 at 8:16 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 11
The venue patio where we're getting married has a side walk and personally don't want to spend the money on one but I have a cathedral length veil and wonder would it be OK on pavement? Here's pics of the venue spot and my veil. Need an aisle runner? 1

Yeah I think it would be OK if you did not have an aisle runner

Okay I thought I would be okay too because originally I wanted to have my MOH walk behind me holding the veil but then I would rather her walk out in front and not be bothered with my veil ha ha ha. Side note, my FH is friendly with her husband but not enough to where he would want him to stand by his side and he flat out said that he doesn't know him like that (even though he suggested they be our two guests lol) which I can understand. So he is included maybe my MOH and he can walk down the aisle together and they can both stand on my side. What do you think?

Unless the sidewalk is super rough, it will most likely glide across. It’s beautiful! And the venue too! If you get a runner, make sure it’s not slick when walking.

I’m almost never a fan of aisle runners. They tend to get scrunched up or off kilter.

I would also trip on it

It should be fine! Honestly from my experience aisle runners are more of a safety hazard than they’re worth. Ditch it lol

Thanks a ton. I lucked out finding that venue through a local wedding blog and Samantha at Blanca Veils knows what she's doing.

No problem, they’re a death trap if you’re wearing heels
