I'm doing a lot of honeymoon planning today and I decided I'd rather leave my rings in our safety deposit box or with my parents while we are gone. My rock is an heirloom piece (originally belonged to FH's great-great grandmother and has been passed down) so needless to say I'm pretty anal about the ring. I'd feel more comfortable while on vacation with a fakey.

Anyone have a website they would recommend? I'd actually love to get a replicate made and my ring would be pretty simple to do, does anyone know where to get that? When I google fake engagement rings all that comes up are stories about fake rings not fake rings themselves!

I got a placeholder ring from a yard sale for $0.25 to wear to the gym. I think it is a vintage Avon brand ring but it is sterling with a small diamond.

I'm with Letitsnow...I highly recommend traveling with a simple band and foregoing the blingy "fake." A thief won't examine the stone before deciding to rob you. Best advice...don't attract attention to yourself. I'm a well-seasoned traveler, and I follow this MO every single time (even before tying the knot).
