Necessary or Not: Photo Booth?

Definitely not necessary, but tons of fun! We're doing a polaroid guestbook so we skipped the photo booth rental

Not necessary. It is an added expense. Have I Spy cards and have everyone share their photos with you instead.

Not necessary. If you have a photographer a photo booth is not necessary. That being said I think it’s a lot of fun for the guests and for you to look through how much fun your guests are having.

Not necessary...But I wanted one, so I chose to puchase a cheap backdrop stand, backdrop, and ipad stand. Cost less than $150, I can use it for the bachelorette party, and I can resell it later

Very unnecessary, but we're going to have one anyway. I kind of expect it to be the least memorable part of the night, but at least people can play with it if they want to!

I wish we'd had one! They are so fun! My cousin had one and it printed a copy for her and the guests in the booth so she made an album with all the fun pics

I wouldn't say it's a 'must-have'. Its definitely a great add-on! The only reason I am having a photo booth is because my SIL and BIL have a traveling photobooth company and they have offered to set one up at our wedding. If it's going to break the bank, don't stress over it! There are other fun options. Like giving all of your guests disposable cameras to take their own photos of your special day.

Not necessary, we aren't having one because it isn't in our budget. When a family member asked if we planned on having one and we told them no, they seemed shocked. It's so common at weddings that people expect it, which shouldn't be expected.

Photobooths are so fun! And with everyone glammed up it's the perfect time to take some awesome pictures that'll last a lifetime. With that being said, it's definitely not necessary although I definitely am getting one!

Not a necessity, but we got ours free when we booked with our DJ. It was a deal from a bridal show I attended. I think it will be fun. Guests get to take home the film strip with a personalized monogram that we’ll design, and we get a book of everyone’s pictures from the night!

I would’ve loved a photo booth but we’re having a small wedding and I didn’t think enough guests would use it to justify the price. I also went to a wedding expo and one of the vendor’s photo booths was having technical issues.... imagine spending all that money only for the booth to not work!

Instead, I bought one of those mini printers that print photos from your phone - you can download an app for the printer and it lets you add borders, texts and other design options for your prints... very convenient! I am also considered doing a Snapchat geofilter as there are some designs on Etsy for like $5, so people can do selfies etc and then print them out if they want a physical photo ☺️

I am not a fan of photo booths at all. Fun for some parties but won’t be at mine.
