NC RDU area wedding venues on a buget

Raquel, on October 12, 2017 at 2:51 AM Posted in Planning 0 14

The venue my fiancé and I originally China’s for our July 7, 2018 in Raleigh, NC was recently determined to be unavailable. The vendor basically suggested my fiancé and I book elsewhere to guarantee a contract could be in place prior to time to sands out save the dates. To say I’m stress is an understatement. We have a 3000.00 budget for the venue, reception, food, lights, decorations, and event planning. Anyone know of any venues with in 75 miles of Raleigh, NC. Any assistance is much appreciated

I think you may have to up your budget. I'm not sure about the cost but to help here are a few places to help you get started.

    The merrimon-wynne House

    Raleigh's elk lodge

    Double tree by Hilton

    Haywood Hall and Gardens.

You're probably gonna have to do a lot of research online to find something close to what you want. You may be able to have a beach ceremony and a local restaurant reception for that price.

You may have to up your budget. You can look into recreational centers in the area and see if they will rent out space for weddings.

Depends on how many people but I had my reception at Hope Valley Diner on Shannon Road in Durham. Vast menu options. The fee to rent the room was $450 and they will gladly customize the catering menu. Their private room seats up to 80. You'll still need to up that budget some but it's definitely a more affordable option.

You might need to expand your budget. Most of the venues themselves are more than $3,000 in the Raleigh area.

Check out state parks. My friend rented a great Barn in the Winston Salem area for about $400 for the day. I'm renting this amazing CCC lodge in SC for $1200 for the day.

Depending on how many people, that's going to be tough in this area. I did mine at Delightful Inspirations (all-inclusive except DJ, flowers, cake, and photographer) but I think they already booked all of 2018 dates. My sister used the Virginia Dare ballroom ($800 to rent in 2015) and brought in catering. She and I had about the same amount of people and ended up spending similar amounts because she had to DIY almost everything and bring in tons of vendors.

OP - it is hard for people to really help you without knowing your guest list. I can say if it is over 20 people you are going to have a really difficult time with that budget. I live in Pa/NJ area and that money alone is not going to cover a lot. Most of the venues themselves were around 3k not including food, drinks or any rentals.

We went with a semi inclusive that seemed the smartest and most affordable option to us. We have our receptionn/ceremony all in one space, all tables chairs and linens included, a 5 hour reception with open bar included and a three course meal for 100 people was right at 14k. I know the COL in NC is going to be different but that's jsut to give you an idea. MY venue didnt have a separate fee to rent the space. The ones that usually do are closer to your price but are generally empty or include very little and rentals get expensive!

This is just to give you an idea, but knowing your guest list would be really helpful so please come back!
