Hello! My FH and I are naturists, also known as nudists, and we are determined to have our ceremony in the nude. We have a very strong community of fellow nudists who will be attending the wedding but have decided to have the ceremony and reception off the compound. Strangely, many of our family members have become really upset by this whole idea and we're not exactly sure how to deal with it. My FH and I do not want to make too many changes for others because this is our special day, and we want to only get married under our own rules and being naked is what we want! We said we would compromised that we'd only be naked during the ceremony and not the reception, but my family is starting to refuse not to come! Any advice on how to deal with unreasonable family drama?

Like OKD...I need to know if the engagement party you are throwing for yourself to invite the coworkers that aren't invited to the wedding is going to be naturist?

There are so many questions I have for this... are the guests supposed to be naked too? Do your invited friends and family typically see you naked when they visit? What if you get your period? And the previously asked questions where is this going to be and will there be children?

I recommend wearing clothes for your wedding and reception and have the after party naked on the compound.

After 40 years of nursing, I've seen more naked bodies than I ever imagined. But a naked wedding? No, sorry, too much like being at work. And geez, wouldn't it be painful to pin the boutonnieres on the groom and the guys in the wedding party? And what, for your something blue, are you going to dye your pubic hair? Sorry, what nudists want to do at their compounds is up to them, but out in the general public? Nope.

It's only 'your special day' if it's only you. Which it might be if you go on with the plan.

@Jennifer M., I guess safesearch was on, so when I googled nudist weddings, those were one of my top results. Solid choice for the OP to continue with her theme imo Smiley winking

Wedding colors should be nude (obvs) and blush (for what your guests will be doing).

Unfortunately the only thing you can do is to have your ceremony the way you want it to be and your guests can choose to attend or not.

I do not want to see anyone else's FH naked but my own. Seriously, I know it's your culture (not sure if that's the right word?) but I don't see how you could feel comfortable standing in front of each other's grandparents fully nude. I would literally die.

You'd save a lot on BMs' dresses and yours, but hair & (full body) make-up may break the bank!
