I'd be uncomfortable attending or actually wouldn't attend at all. If thats your thing ok, but you can't be so blind to see that is out of the norm.

" Fine then have your special day without your families -- the people who are "strangely" upset by the idea of naked flesh in all directions. You've made your choice.

I never thought I'd find a single reason to decline to attend the weddings of my children. I just found it. Not on your life. If you're as open-minded as you'd like us to believe, you wouldn't consider doing this to your families.

So this actually isn't too farfetched of an idea; at least occasionally in Wicca and some branches of paganism, people will marryand worship skyclad (nude). However, there are plenty of people who are still not comfortable with that (myself included), so they wear robes to cover themselves.

OP, assuming you're not an elaborate troll, would you be willing to compromise with robes for the comfort of your family? You can find or make something lightweight, maybe silk, so it's airy to the touch and still lets you feel in touch with nature.

If you want to be naked be naked, go for it! However "projecting" your views unto your family when you don't want to change is being hypocritical. You don't want to change for them, expecting them to change for you is just as bad. Granted its lovely to celebrate with family but sometimes it just isn't in the cards.

Are you trying to host your ceremony somewhere where this would be legal? In my state it wouldn't be. You can be naked all you want inside a nudist resort, but not outside of one. I would give up my nudist wedding before I would risk having my wedding interrupted by the bride and groom being arrested.
