I just changed my name-- SS last week, license etc earlier this week, bank stuff today. I wanted to change my name eventually but hadn't yet because of moving and law school. Now I kind of regret doing it. DH and I had talked about wanting to have the same last name, and he offered to change his if I didn't want to change mine, but that would sound weird. Now I miss my old last name. I'm thinking about doing a name change through the court, probably in 2 years when I need to renew my license, to add it back as a 2nd middle name. Anyone else regret changing your name?

I can't wait to change my last name. There are enough other family members that can carry on my last name - not common but we have a large family. FH has a hyphenated last name already and I'm quite excited to have a hyphen in my name. I'll be the third person to have this last (just FH and his sister currently). If FH's sister marries and changes hers, FH and I will have the last name combination all to ourselves and our family so it's special to me that way.

I have a really long last name. I never bothered to change to my husband's nice short last name. Honestly, in some aspects, it would have been easier to change it. When I go to my daughter's school, even after 4 years of being there, they call me Mrs. Husbands name, then stop and call me by my own hard to pronounce last name. I keep telling them to call me Crystal, it will make all of our lives easier.

My name was changed 2 weeks after my wedding. I love it and have no regrets.

I have a "strong" sounding name, and I work with my mother so we share a last name (obviously). So, when it comes down to it I will probably hyphenate my last name because no matter what I do, everyone will know me by my maiden name since it is in the company name.

I'm just tired of being at the beginning of the alphabet, you guys. I sat in the front row of my high school graduation. I was 8th (5 class officers, then the two people whose names were magically ahead of mine, then me) to graduate out of nearly 500. Basically no anticipation and lots of waiting. I also always got called first.

Give me the middle of the alphabet, please. Plus, I can pretend Theo James is my husband. And that's a total win.
