Nails Diy- Corona Bride Wedding day Nails!

Allie, on April 15, 2020 at 5:40 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 15
Hi everyone! I know nails are no where CLOSE to first priority and definitely am not posting this with intentions of being insensitive. but who couldn’t use a light hearted post right now? ❤️

I had been planning to get my nails done—acrylics and everything— until we decided to cancel everything due to COVID! Looks like that won’t be happening since nail salons are closed and I’ll be doing my own now, although it will probably look like a little kid did them since I never paint my own 😂

What are you all planning to do for nails if you’re doing them yourself? Any tips or tricks you have doing them at home? Post pictures if you’d like! Thanks so much in advance 🥰

I clicked reply too early 😅

I am planning on painting them myself. Although it's not as beautiful as salon, but it definitely saves me time and moneyNails Diy- Corona Bride Wedding day Nails! 1

I got it on Amazon. Make sure you get a kit with UV light and has multiple color already.
Also make sure you buy one with multiple good reviews. I usually look at products with at least 20 reviews and 4+ stars.

I haven’t decided yet. Currently planning on going to a salon (I’m hoping they’ll be back open by October. But if I decide to pinch pennies, I’ll likely paint my nails teal and then use these lace jamberry nails over some.

I bought a UV gel nail light that works great from Sally’s! Practicing now just in case I’ll be doing it myself in October 😂

Color street!!! They use real nail polish! You don’t need heat to apply them. You can remove them with nail polish remover! I used the French tips for my wedding two weeks ago. I’ve been using color street for about a year and I love them! I add little nail stickers and gems to them sometimes. Nails Diy- Corona Bride Wedding day Nails! 4

I am a fan of press on nails. I buy them on etsy and can rock them for a whole week. And I have no shame in my game i get tonsss of compliments on my nails and they are all surprised when I tell em they are press ons.

These are my nails from my bridal shower w my henna, nails from Christmas & thanksgiving. I should have posted my halloween nails which were nightmare before Christmas theme. Nails Diy- Corona Bride Wedding day Nails! 8

Hey! My backup plan to do everything myself is to use kiss nails, they are relatively inexpensive so you can get an extra pack to practice beforehand but I have done them now several times and I am always asked where I got them done. It’s my favorite (and now worst kept) little secret for personal beauty when I don’t want to splurge too much and I am so thankful for them now I’m case with the closings. I am attaching a picture of the color I use; these aren’t my nails but they look just like this! They have lots of colors and even some blanks that you can paint yourself and then attach just to get the perfect shape Nails Diy- Corona Bride Wedding day Nails! 9

If you're looking for nail wraps I highly recommend theflamingoladynails.com and highly recommend avoiding Color Street because it's an MLM.

I looked up a ton and finally purchased Essies Ballet Slippers polish and the Seche Vive “gel” top coat. I tested once and with regular wear the started chipping I’d say around day 5. Obviously not as long as a gel mani but I was super impressed! For at home nails they held up really well and the top coat stayed shiny, dried fast, and I had zero issues with smudges or weird lines forming while I waited for it to dry

I’m in Chicago suburbs and I noticed last week that my nail salon was preparing to open back up. I have an appointment 2 days before my wedding next weekend. Cutting it pretty close with just opening today but I’m looking forward to it!
Kudos to you ladies that are able to do your nails at home. I’ve tried and it does not work right for me. 😄
