Today would have been my rehearsal dinner and tomorrow would have been my wedding day. All of my friends are trying to get me to go out and all i want to do is stay home and grieve the lost of what I thought my life was going to be. I have spent the last month unplanning my wedding with grace and maturity, but today i just want to cry. I have loved being on thia site and looking at all the beautiful BAMs and laughing at the drama and awesome memes. My question for all of you is what should i do today and tomorrow? Any sappy movie suggestions? A bad romantic book to read? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks guys!

Aw girly I'm so so sorry. I can't imagine what you're going through.

Get a mani pedi, makeover, haircut/color and TREAT YOSELF. I love days where I get to do that. Call up some girlfriends and get dinner and drinks. You are strong. You are resilient. Hugs xoxo

If you can afford it go out of town. That'll get your mind off of things for a little bit. Sometimes all you need to do is a fresh start in a new environment, and if you can get some girls to go with you definitely go away. But I also feel that surrounding you with love and support either at home or a way is THE best way to grieve this.

Spend time making your self feel great, either by sending Time learning something or getting your hair done up nice.

I'm so so sorry! It is important to do both things - take time for yourself and connect with other people. Maybe one day you could take all to yourself and another you could make plans with friends? Friday night at home and Saturday something low key? Or Saturday all to yourself and brunch on Sunday or something?

I think you should go adopt a dog Smiley winking

Or at least go and pet some. They make so much sadness go away and having something cute and fuzzy and loyal to take care of just feels goooood.

But if that's not possible or to your taste, I would second all the previous posters who said have your friends over to binge on pizza and Netflix. Build a fort in your living room and do manis and pedis and drink some wines. And sloppy cry or smash things if you want to!

I hope that your pain lessens drastically with each day that passes and that very soon you are rid off all the negative energy this dickwad brought into your life. I hope you find strength and peace in your independence and fresh start.

I would surround yourself with people you love. Don't spend it alone, whatever you do! Have a girls day and spend it having an awesome time! Don't get down, girl! I'm sure you made the right choice!

I would suggest a gallon of Ben and Jerry's "Chunky Monkey". Get Casa Blanca or Love Story on Netflix.

I took a little of everyone's advice. Today was spent alone, making cookies, tacos, watched Atypical on Netflix, 3 long walks and around 5pm had my first glass of wine. I have received so many supportive phone calls and texted from my wonderful friends and family. I am so grateful. Watching a silly movie ob Netflix now called Naked. Laughing hard!

I was in your exact situation 7 years ago - I had friends from out of town - actually my them FH cancelled our wedding as people were in the air flying up to the wedding- anyway my friends and I went out on what would have been the rehearsal dinner and had an amazing dinner with LOTS of alcohol - the best was that I used the credit card I was an authorized user on that belonged to the man who broke my heart. The day of the would be wedding we went on a hike and that night we got dressed up and went for another super nice dinner again all on my ex FH - it was a very expensive weekend for him - I called on Monday and removed myself from as a user from that card!

I would say surround yourself with friends and try to keep busy!

That was the shittiest time in my life - but in hind sight it had to happen in order for me to meet my now FH who is my one and only true love and soul mate!
