My wedding planning has come to a stop

Travonne, on October 12, 2019 at 8:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
Hello Ladies,

I’m a little sad I recently lost my job and I had to put my wedding planning on hold and it’s got me a little down. My fiancé keeps saying it’s going be okay but it’s not helping me out of my little funk. Ladies I really don’t want to stop playing my big day, does anybody have any suggestions.

Hang in there chika!! I find my ideas and inspiration are always in motion and change periodically, over time. So keep planning and thinking and creating anyway.

Similar situation here! We were just starting to get into planning/booking vendors in August when I found out my company was relocating out of state and laying everyone off. I used wedding research as a break in between the job hunt as a fun stress relief. It honestly probably helped me with my job hunt too as I was interviewing potential vendors so it made me very comfortable talking to strangers when it came to my own interviews! Hang in there, it'll all work out!

You don’t necessarily have to completely stop planning, you just need to alter your plans. So whether you have to push back your date or revisit your budget, it’s just changing plans not canceling them. If nothing else, you can still look at things you like and figure out how to get what you want for a better price or to DYI. It sounds like even though life has thrown you lemons, you’ve got a guy by your side who’s making lemonade out of them for you. And that’s better than any planning!
