I know it’s just a dress but it’s one I picked out with just my mom and so felt very special. Plus, I felt amazing in it and splurged for it. Throughout the whole pandemic wedding planning, knowing I’d have my dress was one of the few places I have felt good. I know the most important thing is my partner and me and our families and will try to channel that, but today I am feeling just a bit heartbroken!

I just got a SECOND email two hours later that the wedding dress is now going to arrive tomorrow and they can get me in for fitting and FREE emergency alterations on Wednesday!! I am grateful and the tears are also still flowing — What a rollercoaster this all is, and some days it feels like the pandemic leaves nothing untouched—It’s the dress but also more than the dress! Thanks for the encouragement! And, the stories. Reeeeally hoping the drives arrive!
