The blindfolded kiss is adorable! We are considering doing a first look, but I think this is the perfect compromise. I want a first look because I want that intimate moment between just the two of us and also think I’ll need him to help calm nerves and that could totally be accomplished blindfolded!

You might also consider a "first touch" which is where bride and groom are on opposite sides of a door, and each reaches around to touch/hold hands, maybe say a few words. I've seen photos of this, and it looks really romantic.

But I also really like the blindfolded first look. I've never seen that before.

I think that’s a great compromise. My fiancé doesn’t want to do a first look either but I’ve convinced him to do a first touch where we hold hands on opposite sides of a wall without seeing each other.

I've seen both - the blindfold and the one with you on opposite sides of the door. I like the door one because I would like for us to be able to hold hands and pray together like we normally do, or we could read out cards we've written to each other. I'm not sure I want to do a first look so I think these are lovely alternatives.

I love the idea with the blindfold. FH doesn’t want to do a first look. Maybe he will consider this.

It's cute, but FH got the idea that I wouldn't know what type of suit/tux he picked out, so we're BOTH going to be completely surprised as I walk up the aisle.
My biggest problem with this is that the bride still sees him...

I know many brides no a days do not do a first look, but I highly highly recommend it! Just got married June 29th. Theres nothing like having the amazing moment of walking down the aisle to your future husband seeing him and him seeing you for the first time. I've spoke to many brides who did a first look and their was not as much emotion as they expected. My husband is not a crier but he teared up most of the ceremony and seeing him is the most special moment of the day. Ot is something I never want to forget and can only be seen the way we saw it looking into each others eyes. It was so special : )

I love this! It is so cute, and I love the idea as a compromise for those that don't want a "first look" necessarily. We are very adamant about not doing one ourselves, but this would be a tempting idea. Best of luck, hope he goes for the idea!
