My wedding colors are burgundy, navy blue, with touches of white and gold. My bridesmaids will be in burgundy dresses and the grooms men will be in navy blue pants and suspenders. My fiancé will be in a navy blue suit. I believe his mother is also going to be wearing navy blue. My gown is the traditional white and I will be wearing silver jewelry. I think my mom looks gorgeous in a dark burgundy. Will that be to much burgundy? She also doesn’t know what exactly to wear. Our dress code is dressy casual so obviously no floor length gown. I was thinking something like this as she has worn this style in the past My mom wants to know what color to wear! 1

If your mom has asked for your opinion/help, I think this could be a very nice style if she's comfortable in it.
Note: moms definitely don't need to match the wedding colors in any way, so she should pick a color she feels best in.

My mom purchased a very similar dress in navy blue from JC Penny. She's about 5'-0" and very petite, and this dress looked really good when she tried it on. I'm getting married in August and this dress was very light weight and flowy. They didn't have her size in the navy to try in on it store, but they did have a quartz color she tried (the photo shows the dress as very pink, but in person it wasn't that bright). That color might look good with blue and burgundy too.

I have the same color scheme; great minds think alike! The ladies are wearing burgundy (or wine) and the gentlemen are wearing navy tuxes. My mom's favorite color is blue so she decided she's wearing navy blue. LOL! I think the dress you posted is pretty, and it won't be too much burgundy at all.

She does not have to match the wedding party but certainly burgundy, any shade of blue or even a blush color would look very pretty

Maybe have your mom wear gold since the groom’s mom is wearing navy. My wedding colors are champagne, gold and burgundy. Wedding party will be in burgundy. My mom will be wearing champagne or gold so that she stands out as mother of the bride. I don’t want her to match the bridesmaids.
