Okay so I am really sad. I don't know what I am gonna do.

1) since getting engaged I have been trying to wear contacts because I do not want to have glasses on my wedding day. Unfortunately I have alot of issues with allergies that make it impossible to wear the contacts. When my eyes feel good, they feel great and I can wear the contacts. But this isn't that often Smiley sad Last time I tried to wear them, it was so horrible I had to take them right back out.

2) yesterday my bottom right eye lid suddenly started to hurt. My mom says it's a Sty. She's gonna ask around at work today (She works in an Eye Drs. office) to make sure but she's pretty sure. But it's horrible Smiley sad it hurts and it's swollen on the bottom lid. To top it off, this thursday I have my MUA and hair trial. i really hate my eyes right now.

Not only am I having difficulty wearing my contacts, now on top of that I have a swollen eye lid. As my wedding gets closer I think I'm getting a little more senstive too.

I used to work for an opthalmologist and yes, heat will definitely help (3-4 times a day for 15 minutes at a time if you can) as will using Johnson's Baby shampoo at least twice a day to cleanse the area. Don' wear eye makeup at all (except for your MU trial - they will use hypoallergenic and if it is a reputable person will be done with clean brushes/sponges). IMO, stress does tend to aggravate things like this (I only get a sty when I am stressed and its probably because I rub my eyes when I am stressed LOL). You might also talk with your pharmacist as there are some creams out there I have heard of that might help.

Hang in there! And good luck with your contacts. I am going to have to wear glasses for my wedding (they hide the bags under my eyes too LOL) but am getting a sexier pair of frames I found at Wal-Mart of all places.

Just my input, because I have picky eyes. I can ONLY use Acuvue 2s. I cannot use hydraclear or oasis, even though they are supposed to be easier on your eyes. Also, I cannot use saline, it kills my eyes. I always have to wash out new contacts to get rid of the saline.

    Try out different eye drops!

Hot compresses(especially the tea bag) and the ointment usually work wonders. I would also throw out your mascara, eye lash curler, eye liner. Oh hell, throw out all of the eye make-up you use regularly.

My sister finds by using 'Clear Care' solution for her contacts it really helps them be more comfortable and less allergenic. I do okay with Biotrue brand but I know clear care gets them cleaner!
