My dress doesn't fit with 5 days till the wedding.

Mayra, on September 17, 2012 at 8:07 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 15

I decided to try my dress Saturday to make sure if fits. Well come to find out the slip doesn't fit at all...I need like two fingers for it to close and my dress the zipper barely closes to the point that my skin on my back is kind of folded...My mom was able to fix it to where is not too to notisable...I told my FH that I wanted to starve or eat very lightly for this week but I can't bc I do not want to hurt the baby. So I'm just going to eat as healthy as I can and walk and hopefully my baby won't decide to give me any weight or get moomy bloated...if it happens well idk what I'm going to do.... :'(

Can you get an underdress corset type thing to suck yourself in?? I had one because when I got my dress it was a little small, but I have managed to lose enough weight that it is now too big...... i'm in the same boat, 5 days out and cant keep the dress from falling down though....

Try to lay off carbs between now and then. I can't think of a better reason for your dress not to fit, though. So its good and bad at the same time.

If you were active before getting pregnant, you can still do cardio as well. If you weren't doing strenous cardio beforehand though, now is not the time to start. Fingers crossed for you that you find a solution!

@ Tiffany P. I know I'm not too upset at it because I know is an amazing reason why...Though at the same time I'm worried at what am I going to do lol...

@ Tina bo bina I use to not too long ago but I stopped bc I had no time since my centerpieces took so long to finish...Now I don't think I could do it...

Can you maybe get a corset put in to the dress? That would give you a lot of wiggle room.

@ andrene M. I thought about it but the fabric of my dress wouldn't hide it. You'll be able to tell what I'm wearing underneath...you can't see the slip bc is all the way up to my boobs..so it's hidden by the stones..

Can you wear Spanx or something similar under your dress?

At least you have a wonderful reason why you dress doesn't fit... It just sucks that your dress doesn't fit and you're so close! I hope you figure something out!

Water, least amt of sodium possible, lay off the "white" carbs (rice, potatoes, white bread), eat LOTS of veggies (good carbs) and protein (baked is best!)!!!
