My little brother is recently engaged and I just found out the very small destination wedding in Mexico is at an adults-only resort. None of their friends or family have kids except for my 8 & 12 year old. My wife thinks this is very rude and claims she will stay home...I'm not sure what to make...

Presumably you and your wife had your wedding the way you wanted it. Now it's someone else's day. However, your wife doesn't get to call the shots on their event.

It's not rude to not invite kids, and this couple wanted to get married at this particular resort. Your wife is well within her right to stay home though.

A compromise might be to find other accommodation at the destination that does allow kids and attend the ceremony and reception without them. Of course only if you could find a sitter there. Then the kids could come have a holiday with their parents but not attend the wedding.
