My baker bailed on my and my wedding is in October. All i've reached out to are now booked. I'm waiting to hear back from one here on WW, but I have a feeling she's out of my budget. I had thought I was past a supermarket cake. Don't get me wrong, those taste great, but I picked a cake I loved from...

It was a verbal contract. Nothing was signed and no money had changed hands. She is a local baker used by a lot of people I know, and i'd had a friend get me a birthday cake from her before, and she'd given me a fantastic deal on a cake because of that friend and my having had that cake before.

Aww (sad face) I have had a not so good experience in seeking a baker but I am scheduled for my tasting next week. At this point it may be less stressful for you if you have to use a store bakery. I hear Publix has done some pretty amazing wedding cakes Smiley smile

No, you are fine, I hope you find someone. Your cake is going to taste great, maybe it was not meant to be for that person to be your Baker.

Any luck? I’ve had vendors drop out before, it sucks. I hope you find a beautiful cake!

My FH's stepsister did a cupcake wedding cake for her wedding. They had a small cake at the top that they cut for pictures. I don't know how much she spent though.

I really hope you can find an alternative soon! This is just such an inconvenience, as I can imagine.
