My $150 wedding dress!

Okay so a little misleading, I'm probably not going to wear this at my wedding. I'm currently waiting the arrival of a dress from Etsy and I'm so nervous about it that I've been looking for backups. I really liked this one awhile ago and saw that it came back it stock, and since it was only $150 I decided to order it just to see. Honestly? it's pretty good! You can see there's something wrong with the waist - it's a little folded over in the front and seems a little higher in the back (I'm guessing the main reason it was returned) and the waist in general is a little high (I think it would be more flattering about an inch or two lower) but all in all? Not bad!! Just wanted to show you guys!

*By the way I'm showing these assuming you're not going to judge my messy room!

    Oooh, it is pretty! If you decide to wear this, you could use a 2-inch wide ribbon (color of dress or a color in your wedding palette) to cover that waist issue you see and give you a more defined waistline.

    Or you could wear it to your bridal shower if you keep it. It's not overly bridal, you could even wear it for an anniversary dinner in the future.

    I actually gotta say it's very pretty and I don't see many flaws in it. That's a good dang price too.

    That is really pretty, I love that dress ❤. Have you thought about doing some alterations and addends? I think some beads would look really nice along the edges of the design on the top. And maybe even adding a belt in that would be cute ( that's if you're into that).

    That's a really lovely dress. I agree with some others that it's not overly bridal but depending on how formal your wedding is, you could have pulled it off as your wedding dress. What a great purchase!

    It's from ASOS! I was also so impressed with how it came. a HUGE box, in a super nice garment bag on a hanger.

    Thank you! I actually think the one I ordered from Etsy looks a little casual, but higher quality so I suppose its a trade off. But I think with a veil and hair/makeup? A great option!

    I've actually thought about taking it in to see how much it would cost to fix the waist. Looking at it further I think the problem is that the skirt was sewn a little folded over, but I can't imagine it would be too hard to fix. And for a $150 dress I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for alterations. I agree beading would look super nice around the neckline, and make it look a little more high quality!

    Hair and makeup can make anything look just right lol. Post a picture of your Etsy dress when you get it too ☺️
