Music for backyard wedding

Karen, on July 28, 2020 at 10:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 5
I find myself asking for help here again. I do every time and not ashamed. Y’all are so helpful I keep on coming back.

So my wedding is July 2021. Having a backyard wedding. Fiancé and I were thinking about a DJ because I know my guests and there is no way a iPod and in home theater speakers is going to keep the party going. My time for it all to end is 1am.
Should I ask the DJ to not use the big huge speakers??? Any suggestions???

A dj would be able to accommodate your request.

Unless you live in a very rural area, I'd double check for any local noise ordinances. Where I live, the police will shut a party down (even in the day time) if the noise level exceeds the ordinance requirements and/or neighbors complain (it's considered a nuisance if the neighbor thinks it's a nuisance...). At daughter's venue, the DJ had to end at 10 pm to conform to the noise ordinance.

Definitely check noise ordinances as there may be a “curfew”

    I believe where we live it’s 10:00pm.
