Music ...for a mixed wedding

I feel like everyone loves Motown and oldies, mostly 60 and 70s. We had a dancefloor full of folks of all ages and backgrounds dancing all night long.

The classics will definitely win the crowd for sure! Then you can add a lil of which each side likes. A good DJ will know how to mix and blend the music and keep everyone on the dance floor!! This should be interesting and fun!!!

We plan on playing everything from rap to country to classical to rock. Literally across the board. If someone doesn't like what is currently playing the songs will change soon enough.

Talk to your DJ about what songs you want and your concerns. I’m sure that they’ve dealt with similar couples and have found ways to please everyone before! Perhaps have a call with them before your official meeting and ask for help in creating a playlist that will suit everyone. They should be able to step up and help make the dance floor boogie all night long!

My fiance and I have pretty similar but also very different taste when it comes to music if that makes any sense. I will always love 30's-40's, country, some pop/current and always Whitney Houston. He is devote to the 50's and 60's as well as old school country. We are just going with it and making a super unique playlist with a bit of everything! Our wedding is in October so we are going to throw in a few fun Halloween songs like "Love Potion Number 9"! Just have fun with it!
