MUA Pricing

My MUA normally charges $250...I'm getting her for $!50...but I've recommended so many people to her.

I am not an expert, but it seems high for me. I paid $300 for two girls to come do our hair and help with makeup. There were 5 girls that got their hair and makeup done.

I am sure the price varies by location, but I am only pay $65 and that includes the trial and is airbrush. I would get some more price quotes for other MUA. I would check some beauty salons, some people do hair and makeup. You could always buy the luminess air airbrush system for cheaper than that!

Mine came to $75 for airbrushing and regular for $35 for the girls

Right? I'm from Long Island so I know pricing is high here...but still..I think its a little outragoues..and then its an extra 20$ for eyelashes! Its not like its MAC where I'm keeping any of the makeup..idk. I hate getting ripped off. I feel bad because I know her (shes a best friend of a mutual friend) but I think this is too rich for my blood.

I'm from Chicago and my MUA is charging me $150 for trial and coming to the hotel the day of and $75 for each BM on the wedding day.

I am from Long Island as well and I had 2 trials done. I paid $60 for one trial and the airbrush would be $125 for myself on the day of. The other was $325 for the day of and the trial was $125.. It is ridiculous how high the prices can be just for a wedding. Both trials did include the lashes though.

I'm seriously considering telling people the event is something other than a wedding. I feel like once they hear the 'W" word they see dollar signs

That does seem a little high - mine is charging me $135 which includes airbrush, full face application and lashes, and then $50 for each extra person in the bridal party.

MUA are a dime a dozen, so you should be able to find a cheaper price than that since the competition should drive down the price....

Look around and see if you can find a better deal. In the very least, try to find someone who will do airbrush for that amount...

I used to do freelance MU for extra cash and for fun (and bc i spend an f ton on beauty supplies at school that i wouldn't have used otherwise), and i never charged anything over 50 bucks. so when i was pricing a MUA for my wedding i almost had a heart attack at how much it is! im basically paying just to not do it myself (bc i could do it myself). im still looking but i think all of the MUA over 100 bucks (per person) are silly.

I paid $55 at the time of my consultation for my makeup. That was for the consultation and the day of. They charged $35/per bridesmaid. Plus they came to where we were! The price they gave you seems crazy. Then again, I'm from KS so I know our stuff is not priced near as high as that.

My sister talked a girl from our local MAC counter to come to my house the day of the wedding and do makeup for those who wanted it. She charged $60 per person. As for the trial, I went to see her while she was working. She did my make-up and all that she asked was that I buy a lip gloss. I could not even imagine spending more on my make-up than my shoes.

I'm in FL. MUA runs $150 for non-airbrush. $175 for airbrushing. Most did not included the trail run or traveling in the price. I kept looking at bridal show and online. Finally found one that charged $85 for day of and $110 for engagement session and day of. $45 for bridemaids. $ 65 for mothers. $15 for flower girl, that only includes lip gloss and blush. (I did the flower girl's makeup.) The MUA used Mac and Joe Blasco.
