Moving after invites are sent out, but before the wedding.

Which address should I use? I’m sending out invites in a couple weeks, but we’re moving in July. Should I use my current address and make sure that everything can be forwarded in July, or use the new address and hope nobody sends anything there early? I’m mostly worried about our RSVPs because they’re due July 6, right in the middle of us moving.

Do you have a nearby friend or family member that you trust? Using their address may be your best bet. We had major issues with forwarded mail when we moved.

Could you get a PO Box for a few months?

I actually moved a month after sending out our invites, but we required everyone to RSVP online. I would suggest asking a family member that you trust to use their address. I would not risk hoping all of your mail being forwarded to your new address or people not sending gifts early.

I already had a PO Box and I used it for this as well! My mail is always all over the place and I did not trust neighbors since they put random mail in our mailbox all the time. Just get a PO Box for the year or six months!

Thank you everyone! In all my planning & moving frenzy, I didn’t even think about just using my mom’s address. At this point I’d lose my head if it wasn’t attached!

If you're changing address I would recommend doing an online rsvsp so you don't have to worry about address mix-ups

I recommend the PO Box. Using your mom’s address also works, but I would get paranoid that it would get misplaced on accident.

Agree with PO Box or someone else’s address. I’ve found with mail forwarding sometimes there can be a bit of a delay so I would be worried about that

We did online rsvp's only and it has worked out great if that's an option for you.
