Do you and your mom have a favorite song together? for our father/daughter dance, i didn't want to do something that is so cliche or typical of a dad/daughter dance. i will have one that we both love and that is fun or special for us. when i was little, daddy and i danced to cyndi lauper all the time. i almost considered having one of her songs, but will go with van morrison instead!

I was going to suggest "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood, but it looks like Rachel beat me to it. I won't be doing a Mother/Daughter dance at my wedding, just the father/daughter dance, but I really want to use "Mama's Song" in some way. I just love it!

I am dancing to Mama's song with my mother at my wedding, we both love country music and cry whenever we hear the song.. I think a mother daughter dance is going to be a new tradition in our family after my wedding Why should dad's get all the credit.. Mother's deserve a dance too...

My mother was the jitter bug champion at her college reunion so we are going to have a fast mother/daughter dance to... wait for it.... the jitterbug.

I am having 2 father daughter dances. With my dad we will dance to Butterfly kisses. And with my step-father i am dancing to a our song. Since i was 9 this was just our song, we would crank in the car and sing along, so its Tim Mcgraw "something like that"

Oh and my mother/daughter dance we are dancing to a song that she sang to me since i was born. Might not make since to everyone but it does to us. Its all 4 one " I swear"

I lost my father in september 2012, and a few months later this January, my fiance proposed. she is walking me down the aisle and i have to have a mother daughter dance, and mama's song made me cry hysterically. i think shes going to cry hysterically too. thanks for suggestion!! lauren alaina's song is nice too!

I dont care for mamas song. Its too fast. its got nice lyrics but the beats too fast and personally not a fan of carrie underwood. My dad passed away a few years ago so my mom will be walking me down the aisle and doing a mother/daugther dance with me and we will be dancing to Martina McBride's In My Daughter's Eyes
