Most fun wedding you have attended?

What set it apart from the rest? A certain menu, a specific activity or location or all of the above?

I have been to 5 weddings. I've only really enjoyed one of them. It was a backyard BBQ and we didn't need to dress up. It had the best food. And since it was on a lot of land set far away from other houses we were able to party late in the night. They even had a pile of pallets they set on fire and had a smore bar. It was just laid back and fun. Don't get me wrong I like dressing up to attend a formal wedding, but after an hour I'm ready to go home and get into comfortable clothes.

I've never been to a wedding that stood out, they're all the same. Boring food, empty dance floor, little kids running around and screaming. I did go to one wedding that had a bowling alley at the venue, but it wasn't open until much, much later.

The best wedding I ever attended stood out because of the amazing food and music.

For me, the few weddings that stood out are a good dj and either the bride/groom (or both) on the dance floor with their guests.

All of the weddings I’ve attended are more or less the same. Generally the same decor, food, music and dancing.

One wedding that sticks out to me the most was nothing special to an outsider. It was so memorable to me because I remember the dancing/dance floor being so fun! The DJ was good at feeling the crowd and not being too pushy and all the guests were just plain fun. It's funny because it was my FH's cousin who lives across the country, so we barely knew anyone!! For me, it's all about the fun vibes!

My friends wedding a few years ago. Very small at a nice banquet room type venue. I don’t know if it was the DJ or just that the bride and groom are super fun with super fun friends. But they dance floor stayed packed with everyone just having a blast dancing with the kids and line dances. Then all of a sudden karaoke started and, totally unplanned, the bridesmaids and groomsmen would go back and forth singing songs. So not the vibe I wanted for my wedding, but I had a blast.

The most fun weddings are the ones with a great venue, good food, a Dj that gets the party started. Also connecting with friends or family are the best for me.

Oh man, I’m sorry you’ve had such a negative experience with weddings!

Most of the weddings I’ve attended have been in my friend/family circle, so it was the crowd, the dancing, and the overall party vibe that made it fun. The open bars definitely didn’t hurt Smiley winking

I mean, mine, because we did our swordfight. Oh, and a spontaneous conga line.

But, we mostly go to theatre folk weddings. They are super fun, even if they are often similar. Mostly it's ceremonies that tailored to the couple, and good music so we all want to dance and sing and have fun.

Maybe I’m just not a wedding person lol, I’m not much of a dancer, I’d prefer socialize. For my wedding we aren’t having a DJ because my fiancé and I don’t dance and nobody in our families or friend group do either, we are going for a more laid back vibe and there will be lawn games and a fire pit, train rides around the farm. People can dance if they want but it’ll be from a playlist on an iPod

By FH's friend's wedding. It was last minute, it was in the bride's parents' backyard. It was so laid back and was just a big party with all their friends and immediate family. I have always wanted a wedding like that, sadly my FH's family is just too damn big. My uncle's wedding was pretty fun too - a little more formal but the DJ was great and it wasn't too big
