Mossy Oak Camo Wedding Reception Decorations

Jennille, on April 26, 2012 at 12:59 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 20

Hi! I am getting married in July. One thing I am having a difficult time with is decorations for our reception. We are having a Mossy oak camo themed wedding. Our reception is at a restaurant (inside.) For our centerpieces we are doing flameless candles inside a small vase with a fake sunflower glued in the middle with green and brown ribbon around it the vase..i want to order camo fabric, and i want to make camo runners for the wedding. Is that all i really need as far as decorations go? Thanks!

Yes, to make the camo POP, only have it is small sections/areas.

Congrats on the wedding, can't wait to hear more about your plans and your dress.

    ~ happy planning ~

Thank you, we are only doing bits and pieces of Camo. My dress is Ivory and lace, and the only Camo i have is my garter. My Fiance is wearing camo vest and tie..just dont want to overdue it so i was thinking maybe camo runners on the tables and maybe brown and gree tulle for chair sashes or should i just do a white or ivory?

Also my bridesmaids are wearing clover green, and my maid of honor is wearing chocolate brown..this way they have the colors of camo..

Pictures are of the bridesmaids dress, MOH dress, and wedding cake.

I love your colors! I agree that the camo should be in your accent pieces, not a whole tablecloth or anything. Heres a funny one though, a camo flower for your hair!

I'm doing camo accents too. As far as decorations tho, I am doing a lot of burlap and twine (they make green and dark brown burlap as well as the normal tanish color). Table runners will be burlap. My only camo is his vest and tie, and my garter too. I agree with you...the decorations you mentioned seem about perfect....camo accents here and there with lots of natural decor. sounds beautiful.

I went to the Dollar tree near me for all of the stuff we are using for our centerpieces, also we had bought our brown and green ribbon from there also and fake sunflowers. I agree, to have camo but not tacky. The decorations we are using, I'm going to be using them as home decor after the wedding. I've spent alot on them..My best suggestion is going to the nearest hobby lobby, walmart and dollar tree to find all that you need for decorations. We have deer antlers (real) given to us from our family we are using, and we ordered our camo online. In the beginning I was a bride on a budget, but having a camo wedding you really can't have a budget, because CAMO anything is expensive. thats why we stuck with it as a accent theme. Also anything with moss, and greens nothing bright..is considered camo. You'll be fine. If i could add one thing it would have been wood, we arent adding any because the wood is a long process to sand it down and coat it. Best of Luck! Smiley smile
