As ours is late feb it gets dark pretty early, and we wanted good light for photos, so we shall be having the ceremony at 2.30pm. In the UK I believe you can't marry after dark?
I wanted a 11am wedding so I could do a brunch but when thinking time line and my daughter has to have minimum of 2 hours just for her hair to be done I decided to go with a 2pm wedding. Reception to immediately follow and will be over at 5pm. I cannot do any longer that will totally wipe me out. It will be an extremely long day for me starting at 6am. All pictures taken before the ceremony so I don't look all worn out and pale in them lol. It will be hard on me but I am so looking forward to it.
We had a 3 PM wedding on a Friday, followed by a reception at 6:30 PM that night. We had more leeway though because the ceremony was private. My first wedding, also on a Friday, had a 6 PM ceremony with a reception immediately following.
A morning wedding followed by a fab brunch sounds great (bloody mary, anyone?) but you'd have to start hair and makeup in the middle of the night!
