Destiny, on October 1, 2019 at 7:58 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
So we will have kids from 1-7y/o at our wedding and idk what to buy fir drinks! I dont think parents will want them drinking super sugary pop, lemonade, sweet tea. And i doubt they'll want to drink water. I thought about capri suns but can little little kids drink from a straw? And would that be to sugary to? We're trying to stick to no cups n stuff (dont eco hound me ik all about it) we'll be taking the empty cans back after wedding

Not a mom, but just my opinion. Water it is. If they’re thirsty, they will drink it. Beggars can’t be choosers. But if you must, water down lemonade or tea in a 5 gallon jug. No soda, it’s awful for them.

I was just at a wedding a couple weekends ago with plenty of young kids and they had water, tea and lemonade. There were no issues and plenty of the kids were sent the lemonade.

At mine, I will have punch, water and tea. They will drink if they are thirsty.

I had Water, Lite/Regular🍋ade, and Un/Sweet Tea. They could say which they wanted.

I would offer lemonade, tea, soda, water. juice and let the parents make the decisions on what the kids will drink.

I'm a mom... everything they are able to do will depend on mom and dad. My son and nephew are both 1 and my son can drink from a straw but my nephew cant. As for drinks... just offer what you would offer everyone else. Most parents will pack something if their kid is picky or make do. And most juices have just as much, if not more, sugar as sweet tea. Smiley smile Dont overthink it. Happy planning!

Not a mom, but at our wedding we had water on the table. The moms of young kids brought sippy cups for their kids anyway. The bar had things like orange juice, cranberry juice, soda, and other juices for mixers.

Maybe instead of having to do a separate type of drink specifically try doing a Sprite to since its caffeine free. And I'm sure most parents whose kid can not drink out of a cup or can would being their kid a sippy cup. At least i always did with my son
