Mom wants me to make a registry for a micro wedding (18 people)?

For those of you who have had or are planning a micro wedding, did you create a registry? And how many things did you put on it? My mom and sister are insisting I make one, but it's only immediate family coming to the wedding so I think it would be weird. It's a semi-destination wedding (3 hours drive away) so I'm not expecting gifts anyway.

We are having a micro wedding of just 20 people and we havent made a registry nor are we planning to. There are only 3 guests that will be attending that arent at the Thanksgiving or Christmas celebrations we host. we have also already been living together for nearly 6 years so we have no need for plates or anything you would traditionally find on a registry. If you feel it would ease the tension if you found a middle ground perhaps consider a cash registry for honeymoon or life experiences. Examples are like a giftcard to your favorite restaurant for your first date night as a married couple or if you are going on a cruise for your honeymoon maybe a new swimsuit for you and your partner or tickets to the zoo in your honeymoon destinations city.

We are only having 50 people attend our wedding due to COVID. We still created a registry & I am glad we did because a lot of people that aren't attending/co-workers/extended family have asked for our link. I think during these times, most people are understanding to the fact that we are keeping things smaller than we would want because of the pandemic & they are empathetic towards it. I wouldn't say it's a must, they can always send a card in the mail, but definitely something to think about. It wouldn't hurt to have one. Smiley smile

Whenever anyone I know is getting married I ask for their registry even if I am not invited. Usually there is something affordable. I enjoy giving gifts, though, and like to think it will be a nice surprise.

We are having a very small destination wedding and do not plan to do any sort of registry. In my opinion, there aren’t enough people to justify taking the time to create one, plus I don’t want to worry about transporting gifts all the way back home.

We're having a microwedding of 25 or less guests and did not opt in for a registry. We've both been previously married and have been together for over 3 years. We don't want or need anything, only for those we love to come eat, drink, and celebrate our wedding with us. Smiley smile
