Mom dedicates song to son or visa versa?

FMIL was looking for a song to dance with FH to. She then put it on his lap saying that he's the one who is supposed to dedicate a song to her. Any thoughts on this one?

And please share what songs your FH is dancing with his mom too. My DJ contract should be in the mail already but now we have to deal with this too!

Shouldn't they just choose a song for their dance together, vs. one dedicating it to the other?

I think that's how it goes, yes. That your FH is dedicating the song to his mom. We haven't chosen one yet. They are not that close.

Wow.. I'm looking through the list of mother/son songs on WW. I actually came across one on this list with these lyrics
"Remember when I was young and so were you
and time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried"
Ummm... that's disturbing....

We ended up combining our Father/Daughter & Mother/Son dances. We used "My Wish" by Rascall Flatts. Our second choice was "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.
