Mom as a Wedding Coordinator?

I don't have experience using my mom. In fact...my mom wants to be in charge of nothing on our wedding day! Even if she did, I personally wouldn't ask her to be in charge of anything. I think parents should be able to sit back and relax and enjoy their day just as much as the couple should.

My mom is an event planner and acted as my day of coordinator as well. She wanted to, even though I offered to have someone else do it. It worked out well.

The only thing that would make me nervous about this would be what if you two don’t share the same vision for something? Would she listen and respect what you want or would she push what she wants because she works in the industry?

I actually have a wedding coordinator, but my mom is helping me plan my wedding. I’m kinda like Sarah what if you guys don’t have the same vision, is your mom going to be okay with what you choose? Sometimes that can be tuff!!

My mom is mine! It’s fun but we did butt heads a few times!

Your mom sounds really experienced and I think it's great that she will be your coordinator! She knows you very well, being your mom, and will make sure the details are all in place. You are her daughter and therefor her most favorite client yet, I'm sure.

I am acting as the wedding planner for my youngest daughter. We have a doc for the day of but I am handling everything else.
