Moissanite or Diamond Ring Engagement Ring?

I found this engagement ring with moissanite. It is one carat and looks luxurious. What do you think about moissanite instead of a diamond? + Lower cost than diamonds + looks like a diamond - it's not a diamond

I love my moissanite ring. For me what was important is that it was clear stone, pretty, and sparkles, and good quality. And Moissanite provided all that for me. I didn't care if it had the diamond label or not. My ring is a custom from moissanitecompany.com. The solitaire stone is a moissanite and the stones on the band are diamond.

No worries! My uncle has been in the wholesale jewelry business for about 40 years, and my mom for about 10, so I've learned a lot over the years lol. Glad to share it with others.

My ring is moissanite. Our jeweler put a diamond and moissanite next to each other under light and didn't tell us which was which and neither of us could tell. They both sparkled beautifully. Truly he said the only way you could tell is by looking through a microscope.

Society has set this standard that a wedding/engagement has to be a diamond. It could be only stone you want or like. Whatever you will be happy with!!!

Here's pictures of my ring. I love it and very happy with how it turned out. I get compliments on it. And no one knows. I have told people it is not a diamond if they ask details about the ring. Moissanite or Diamond Ring Engagement Ring? 2

My engagement ring is moissanite and I LOVE it. My FH didn't want to get a diamond and that was fine with me! Personally I think my stone is more sparkly than a diamond, which I love. It was cheaper for him to get a moissanite than a diamond and they are supposed to be a better quality. At least from what I've heard!

I have a moissanite ring and I wouldn't want it any other way. Biggest reason being the ethical stand point. Secondly it was way cheaper and I was able to get a much bigger ring than with a real diamond.Moissanite or Diamond Ring Engagement Ring? 4

I have a moissanite center stone surrounded by lab grown diamonds. I wanted it mostly for how sparkly it isSmiley smile It looks the same as the lab grown. (I just don't exactly love the idea of diamond mining or the price, so that was a factor too).

This company cuts them for a really radiant sparkle and it's where I got mine. They do a lot of more vintage cuts as well: https://www.distinctivegem.com/collections/august-vintage-moissanite

I also thought about moissanite because of its cost. And the ethical side is also important. Now is such a time that it is important to think about everything at once.

I have a moissaniteco ring. I simply could not justify the price of a diamond. If the ethical thing is a concern for you, diamond alternative is the way to go as well. (Just look up how diamonds are mined and obtained by most retailers.) I couldn’t be happier with my moissanite. It’s gorgeous and yes, it does have a more blue cast to it, but you have to KNOW to look for it and be super critical of the ring to notice. So if that’s a concern, diamond is the way to go. But I’ve never had one person say anything other than “it’s soooo gorgeous.”

Like most moissy brides, I couldn’t be happier with my moissanite! I knew very early on that I did NOT want a diamond (I’m from a country that has a very terrible blood diamond conflict, and could never justify wearing a stone that people are literally being killed for..I don’t say that to shame anyone who loves or wear diamonds, just a personal conviction of mine) most moissanite brides I know will proudly say that their ring isn’t a diamond for that very reason and they also don’t try to pass theirs as an actual diamond. Mine was custom made from a jeweler abroad who was just phenomenal . I’ve worked with him for other moissanite and gem stone jewelry so I knew he was going to be the one to create my ring. He’s become our go to guy for all our jewelry needs Smiley smile I think you should be fine with a moissanite. not only are people moving towards more ethically sourced and eco friendly lifestyles, but moissanites are become increasingly popular so there are a host of amazing jewelers that offer moissanite as a budget friendly and eco friendly alternative to traditional diamonds. Here’s mine, it’s a 5.5 emerald cut center stone on .5 “basket halo” and .5 carats across the band (metal is palladium) I get so many compliments on it, people would literally stop me to gush over it lol
