So, my mother has no idea what to wear to my wedding and I honestly don’t know what to tell her. My website lists dress code as beach casual-be comfortable. I’m picturing cute sun dresses for the women and maybe khakis and a fun print shirt for the guys. But how does that translate to MOB (or MOG)? Just a nice casual dress? Traditional MOB dresses are obviously too dressy for our wedding.
My mother hasn’t asked yet but I know it’s coming. FMIL, meanwhile, may not particularly care what the dress code is (another post for another day).

I fun maxi length dress would be great for the moms. Plus with corsages they'll stand out amongst the crowd.

Didn’t even think of a maxi dress. Of course my mother the fashion hermit will have no idea what that is, but it could definitely work. We aren’t doing corsages.

I struggled with the same problem and because I’m an older bride my mom is 75 so she just found a nice dress that she felt comfortable in. It was too hot for something long and fancy.

I'm getting married on the beach. My mom ordered a bridesmaid dress in a floral pattern. Its light long and flowy. Our wedding color is cantaloupe so the dress ties into the color scheme. MIL is wearing a navy blue wrap dress to the knee with a large cantaloupe floral pattern. We consider ours "Beach formal" based on the description. Ladies in flowy sundresses and guys in linen pants/shirt. Not sure if this helps.
