mob Dress Color...i need help! What color did you choose?

Hola, So I'm trying to decide what color dress to put our moms in. My fiance' and all my girls will be in emerald green and the guys in all black so I was thinking about putting them in gold (our wedding colors are shown in picture #1) Initially I wanted them in copper (which is apart of the color...

So I'm trying to decide what color dress to put our moms in. My fiance' and all my girls will be in emerald green and the guys in all black so I was thinking about putting them in gold (our wedding colors are shown in picture #1) Initially I wanted them in copper (which is apart of the color scheme) and NOT GOLD but it's been a struggle finding copper colored dresses. We'll have a lot of copper accents throughout the reception...will it look weird putting them in gold? Is there another color we can try? Is champagne too close to ivory? Helppppp lol!

•Do moms have to be in the same fabric as the brides dress? (My dress is Satin)
•Do our moms need to match styles?
•Does both our moms wear the same color?
•What are your color schemes for your bridal party?

P.S. There are so many little components to a wedding 😂😂 but y'all know lol!

    Our moms were opposite in style lol. But they both asked for color scheme and wore different colors in the color scheme. i think having different fabrics and styles can add a lot of dimension and character for pics!

    Im doing a similar color palette (hooray for good taste). I told my mom I wanted her to wear navy. I thought it’s darktone would work with bridesmaid dresses and the color alone goes with accent colors.

    They asked for her opinion for HER wedding. So did my parents. Stop making it sound like she’s demanding stuff from them. she’s stated SEVERAL times that they asked her for her opinion and desire. every parent and wedding is different.

    Oh cool YAY!!! Yes I've seen the navy and emerald and it looks fantastic together. We haven't found them yet and I'm having a hard time finding things on these websites that we actually like. We're going into some stores this Saturday for our first trial run! I feel like for emerald green dresses a cocktail style dress will look amazing and will be easier to find. Cocktail dresses still work with the overall look of our theme and venue. I'm really leaning towards those than the traditional bridesmaids dresses.

    I think silver would look lovely with emerald green. You usually see moms in understated dresses but classy. Lace, silk, etc. it depends on body shape too. If it was me I’d be shopping after New Years when all those fancy party dresses are on sale.

    I think the gold would be fine. My mom and FMIL asked me what colors they could wear so I had no problem giving them options. Our colors are ivory, wine, peach and blue (the guys are wearing jeans and boots) so I suggested gold, navy blue or black. I only specifically said any fall color except ivory or wine.

    So I found this one so far by David’s Bridal’s. One of my girls insisted she needed to be able to wear a regular bra. One of my girls is plus size and two of them said they needed to try it on in person. (everyone lives in a different state.) The color is technically called “juniper” but it seems emerald enough for me. My theme is an art decoish old Hollywood glam and I think that dress fits it, as well as every girl loves the dress. Lord and Taylor has a ton of jewel tone green dresses and if my girls were local, I’d have them try some of those.

    I’m not sure what color shoes you’re wearing, but I’m also on the hunt for an dark green match/compliment the color. It’s hard to find.

    They do not have to match, they can wear any fabric too. Unless you have specifics in mind and I say go for the copper you will probably have better choices with metallics around the holidays if you can wait that long.

    Oh cool, your theme sounds awesome! I've seen that same dress lol. We're going to DB on Saturday and I see they don't have emerald at a lot of places but like that color and forest green. I also need to find dresses where a few can still wear a bra. I have two out of state, one in Jersey and one in Colorado. My Colorado friend won't be able to come shopping with us but she's very slim and majority of everything fits her so she's good with ordering offline.

    I also wanted to wear emerald green shoes, I'm going to try some outlets or different types of stores because I really want that color.
