Minted Wedding Website

Gonnabeaburch, on February 16, 2019 at 10:47 AM Posted in Planning 1 8
Anyone have a minted Wedding Website? I'm having trouble figuring out the guest portion of the site. Do I add a primary household name with a number of RSVP's in the household or do I make an individual entry for each person? If I do a primary member, does that mean the invitation will only be addressed to that person? I'm kind of lost on how that works...

Don't know about Minted, as daughter used The Knot, but she was able to link individual guests to a household name. That allowed both each individual guest to RSVP or for one member of the household to RSVP for everyone in the household. It seemed convenient for guests and easy for us.

I’m using Minted wedding website and the RSVP function is kind of a funny one - first you want to add everyone in your address assistant as how the invites will be labeled “mr and Mrs Fox” and then that’s how they will RSVP to your wedding - using the “search box” took. For that reason, we did everyone’s first and last names on invites, for example “mr robert and Mrs Darcy Fox” so that any part of the name would pop up in the RSVP search function.

The biggest pain with Minted we’ve found is that if you add a list by spreadsheet and say you need to make changes to people, their names or addresses and re-upload the spreadsheet again, it doesn’t do well with picking out the duplicates, so I’ve had to clean our guest list multiple times to get rid of duplicate attendees showing up. Other than that, we’ve hid the RSVP page until invitations go out and then it will be visible again so folks can RSVP that way or with their postcard!

Oh and yep you can link individuals by household in Minted as well, it’s best done under the “address assistant” feature in the website.

    I need help!

Where is the Address Assistant feature?

What I am stuck on is how to rsvp for multiple people in one household. Or if you RSVP with a plus one, how do I add the name of the plus one?

The address assistant feature is in your website manager or under your profile on minted.com. You add each person under a household and add multiple people in households with multiple guests. You will set a primary point of contact and define each of the other residents as well. The "household name" will be the name you wish to appear on the invitation i.e. Mr. & Mrs. John Doe. After you add the household, you add the guest to the guest portion on your website manager and set the number of spaces allotted for that household. When they RSVP they will be able to search their name and RSVP for the events they plan to attend, then select the number of people that will be attending with them. If you allotted 5 spots for example, the max they will be able to select is 5.

I hope that made sense. Happy planning!

Does minted allow for guests to choose what entree they want? I know wedding wire does but I like the minted website designs much more!
