Mini Destination Wedding

Victoria, on January 21, 2019 at 1:05 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 6

Hey! I am recently engaged and have been scouring the internet looking for possible venues for my dream wedding. I am unsure if it is possible but I am looking for a venue in the United States that can sleep roughly 100 people. My dream is to have a mansion wedding where the guests can all stay under the same roof. Anyone know of a place like this? Thanks!

Even a mansion won't normally accommodate 100 guests (or 50 rooms if they're all couples). Why not look up boutique hotels or inns? Really charming and you may end up taking over the entire hotel which would be fun. My sister had 50 guests at her wedding and at the little hotel she found her guests were basically the only ones there! Start with the Venue tab here to find ones in the location you want.

I’d suggest looking at the Wedding Wire search tool.

You're welcome! There are so many amazing boutique hotels in the U.S.

How far are you thinking? We had a DW but only 15 close friends & family, and only an inexpensive 1-hour flight or 8-hour drive by car for guests. A DW is very expensive for guests (unless you're paying for their accommodations) so research their costs before booking your venue. Unless a BFF or sibling, I wouldn't attend a wedding if I also had to pay for flight. Unless a close friend, my hubby wouldn't even want to drive 3+ hours away and pay for a hotel. Just some things to think about when planning a DW.

I don't remember the name of it, but there's a place like this in the Florida Keys. You rent out the hotel for the week and have your wedding there. I'm not sure how many people it accommodates, but if I remember correctly, it could host a pretty large wedding.

    Update: found it. https://www.keylargolighthouse.com/
