Might have found my wedding band! Thoughts!?

Future Mrs. T, on June 29, 2020 at 3:01 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11
Hey all! So, my fiancé and I are looking at wedding bands! It’s starting to feel real!

I originally wanted a band to match my engagement ring(I included a photo too) but I didn’t want a plain band because I thought it looked-well plain! I also saw ones with diamonds all around but I was worries about them possible getting loose.
During my search I found an opal ring and made me think about birthstones. Turns out opal is the stone for October and that’s the month we’re getting married! Then I found this ring with my fiance’s birthstone (emerald) AND opal! I was so excited!! I included the picture below! I know it may not totally match my engagement ring but the setting is super dainty and I think the meaning behind the stones outweighs the look.
I’m so excited! What do you think!?Might have found my wedding band! Thoughts!? 1Might have found my wedding band! Thoughts!? 2

It looks beautiful and as long as you love it that's all that matters! Perfect to be able to find the birth stone of the month youre getting married plus FH's birthstone.

I also didn't want a plain band. It just wouldn't look right with my ring so I opted for the diamond route.

Super unique. I love the meaning behind the stones in the band too. I think it will look great!

I love it, opals are my favorite, the ring is beautiful and I think it will still match to your engagement ring.

I think it’s beautiful and it doesn’t need to match perfectly, it just needs to coordinate and I think they coordinate perfectly!!

It's a beautiful ring. You probably already know this, but because opals aren't as hard as many other gems you may need to be more careful with it then you might normally be. If you're usually very gentle with your hands, probably not an issue. Despite trying to be careful, I routinely whack my wedding ring set all too often. Just something to consider. One description I've read is that opals are the same hardness as glass. Good luck! Smiley heart

I actually did not know this! Thank you for the information! We both have professions where we’re out and about so we were also going to get silicone bands for when we’re at work. A little unconventional but it works for us. Our “official” bands (mine above) will be for the ceremony of course and any other time we’re not at work.
