Micro Wedding .. Help :(

Natalie, on May 26, 2020 at 3:30 AM Posted in Planning 1 11

Hey Guys,

My FH and I were suppose to get married June 18, 2020 however because of COVID-19 we were forced to postpone our wedding. We have decided to push it off to July 22, 2021 since we are both not woking and found it would be easier financially. Even though we have pushed off our big wedding we are going to have a small ceremony with our closest family and friends (15 people) on our original date.

We rented a big house in the Poconos with a lovely backyard, but since I planned this huge wedding I am at a loss for ideas on a Micro wedding. Not to mention its less than 3 weeks away! I just need some cute and simple ideas on how to make it special and beautiful, but not over the top. Any suggestions would be a amazing! This wedding is more stressful than the big one Smiley ups

Thanks in advance to everyone and Stay Safe!

I think having your intimate event gives you more time and room to get creative with your set up. A nice long table for your guests with a runner and candles and floral would look beautiful. I’m posting photo ideas below. Do you have the budget for Entertainment? If so, you can hire live music to entertain your guests. Smiley smile Micro Wedding .. Help :( 1

These pictures are lovely. I would have loved to have some entertainment, however because of Corona we are unable to. As for the table we are having a BBQ so I am debating doing a beautiful fancy table like that. What do you think? Will it clash?

I felt you so much on this post! Lol this small wedding we are trying to plan will be the death of me! We are having our small ceremony and reception at our house just because we have the space for it. We have kindof a hobby farm so everything is just very rustic. I was racking my brain for hours figuring out how I'm supposed to decorate it so it looks "good enough" And finally I decided its just going to be what its going to be. I have some eucalyptus garland and a table runner with some fairy lights, thats it for decorations. We will have a tent and ill set up the tables under that and call it good. My mom made a few flower baskets for a little extra decor.

We decided to hire a food truck for dinner so we wont have to worry about anything food wise and will have cookies for dessert. At the end of the night we will have a bonfire and just chill. I think the simplicity of what it is and just the intimacy of it all will make it special.

Just keep it simple, as hard as it is don't stress it. At the end of the day who really cares about the "fluff", you will be married to the love of your life and thats all that truly matters!

    Good Luck Smiley heart

Love this! You're absolutely right, its just so difficult to decide whats not "too much" for what is ultimately a backyard wedding. Something i'm really excited about that we got for the big wedding and decided to use is tiki torches down both sides of the "aisle". I think it will make the whole ambience really special Smiley smile

I don’t think it will clash at all! It will set the mood of the wedding rather than it just feeling like a bbq/get together Smiley smile
