Micro Wedding Dress

April, on June 8, 2020 at 8:41 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

My fiance and I are getting married August 8th at my parents home. We're only inviting our siblings and parents, so it will be a very intimate ceremony and dinner. We're holding our vow renewal and reception next year, and I've decided I don't want to wear my wedding dress until next year when I can be with my bridesmaids.

My fiance will be wearing khaki shorts, a white short sleeve button down shirt and a bow tie. I had purchased a mid length white dress but I don't like how it looks. I don't want to spend over $100 on it, and I don't want anything too fancy as I want this wedding to be summer casual.

Where has everyone purchased their micro wedding dresses from?

Thanks in advance!!

I second Lulu's! I've gotten my bridal shower and rehearsal dresses there and love them!

I also agree with Lulu's! You can also try department stores for white dresses that're more casual.

Azazie actually has some great options in their dress category that's not for weddings in specific. they have just a general dress category that's got extremely inexpensive options

I'm a big fan of Francesca's! I found by bachelorette party dress there for like $15. I also found a really cute white maxi dress on Amazon that I used for my engagement pictures.

Crazy idea but platos closet might be the way to go! keeps it cheap, fun, and casual. my husband and i got engaged and a few weeks later we were married because we were so excited to spend forever together. we did a very small, intimate ceremony and reception with closest family and a few of our best friends. i definitely wanted the best of both worlds with weddings so a small wedding met some of my expectations, but im a drama queen so we are having my dream wedding january 2021. im not a budget shopper at all, but i actually bought my first wedding dress (for our smaller wedding) for dirt cheap at platos closet and i absolutely loved it! it was short, white/nude, and lacey so i paired it with some chunky nude heels from target. such a fun and flirty dress, and i was so excited about re-purposing the dress i bought. you could also check lulus, which can be pricey if that doesnt bother you, or windsor, which is much more afforable and offers tons of sales and coupons. fashion nova might also be a budget-friendly option without sacrificing quality. all have a "bridal" section and offer some really great pieces. hope that helps some 😊

I saw a really cute lace knee length white dress on Amazon that would definitely work for that. I’d initially thought about it for a shower dress but decided against getting a white dress for that. I rarely wear white (I’m always staining it), so I didn’t see buying that many dresses I’d only wear once.
