Micro-wedding 9/5/2020

Thank you for all the feedback on the ‘alternative wedding plans’ considering the ongoing pandemic. Great ideas! Here is what we decided to do: the venue Absolutely Refused to work with us on rescheduling, so rather than throw away $7K we are doing a micro-wedding at the venue with just our parents, siblings and our adult children. There will be about 18-20 of us in total. We are still doing all the things we had planned when were planning on having 120 guests, we just scaled it down: smaller cake, catering for 20, just 1 bartender instead of 2, still doing normal ceremony, first dance, toast, photographer/videographer, cake, dancing... all that jazz. Not having a DJ though so we will just plug our iPhone playlist into the venue sound system. We are super excited to Finally be getting married! And we are thinking of just now more of an informal celebration next year to take the place of the fancy reception - and then have all our guests attend.
