Italian Menu:

Comes with a salad, assorted dinner rolls, a vegetable selection of our choice, a protein entree and an entree without protein. Some of the protein entrees include chicken parmesan and fettuccini alfredo with roasted chicken, and some of the non-protein entrees include cheese-stuffed cannelloni, penne pasta primavera, and vegetarian lasagna. We will pick one from each category, and special meals can also be made for vegans, gluten allergies, etc.

Mexican Menu:

Comes with corn/flour tortillas, tortilla chips, guacamole, two types of salsa, cheese, sour cream, lettuce and onions, with a choice of two entrees and two sides. The two entrees we are leaning toward are

    Definitely Italian for a wedding.

When I think Mexican food at a wedding, I think serious indigestion while dancing...

I would go with Mexican, just because it's a little different than what's normally served at weddings! We're doing pulled pork and I'm super excited haha

    How bout this

Ceviche tostadas rice and salad accompanied with shrimp appetizers topped with cheese, grilled onions, and chorizo.

I absolutely love Mexican food, like am obsessed with tacos. I also enjoy Italian, but tacos and margs are my go to Friday night dinner of choice.

That being said, I think you should pick Italian. It's classier and Mexican can have a negative effect on people's stomachs... you don't want half of your guests in the bathroom the whole night!

Mexican sounds yummier but for a wedding I'd go for Italian, probably less messy.

I would personally prefer the Mexican. But me and my FH had this discussion last night about Mexican for our rehersal dinner. I think Mexican food is more likely to make people sick then Italian is. Plus, as pp's said, Italian is more "upscale".

Italian but only because I know FH hates Mexican so he wouldn't eat and complain all night. So as a guest, to avoid that lol I would want Italian

In our area, Italian food is very popular. We also have a high percentage of residents who have Italian heritage. I don't think I'd ever chose Mexican food, to serve to a large number of people. When people post that they're going to have a taco bar, as the entrée course at their weddings, I just cringe.

I personally prefer Mexican, but tacos and fajitas can be messy. I would do Italian.

That would be a hard decision for us. Half my guests are from Texas so they would lean towards the Mexican food. The other half is from New Jersey and lean towards the Italian food. I guess it depends on what kind of wedding you're having. Mine is semi-casual & outside so I'd probably do Mexican.

Mexican sounds amazing. As a guest I don't care what seems more upscale, I want what tastes good! Italians alright, I just always thought it was a little boring.
