How are those with plated-seated dinners making sure servers know who ordered what at each table? I need some creative ideas Smiley smile

What theme/colors do you have? And what meal selections do you have?

You can have 2 colored cards... one color for chicken, one color for pork.

You can just write a "C" or "P" or "V" on the back of their place cards.

You can actually have a little image in the bottom corner.

I've done different colored backgrounds using the same design and that's easy for the servers to see.

We had rave reviews over the little chickens, carrots and pigs we put on the place cards for this wedding:

I used carrots for the vegetarian meals, and little stick figures of girls or boys for the kids meals. Thanks!

For $16 I bought little stamps at paper source to stamp each name card with the meal they are having in the top right corner:

I am doing tent like place cards. The name will go on one side and the word Beef, Chicken, or Veggie on the other side. Guests will have place cards with name facing out and word facing the guest and therefore the server. That way people will have their names facing outward for the other guests at the table to see in case people do not know one another.

I'm putting crystals across the bottom of the placecards. Clear for beef and pink for chicken. It goes with the theme of my wedding.

I am recently had a couple who needed the same kind of idea but their centerpieces were to high to write clues for waiters on the back of the cards.

Here is a copy for what we did,

    Scrolls on top- Salmon

    Scrolls on bottom- Short Ribs

    Scrolls all around- kids meals

** There wedding was last weekend so this is all I have but I'll put up the professional photos when I get them!
