May 2021 wedding

Cassi, on May 21, 2020 at 2:24 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 21
Hey brides! I’m curious and eager to read opinions, are my fiancée and I selfish or inconsiderate to continue our planning for May 2021? I haven’t set a backup date as of yet but I have been thinking I will put a back up date in place just to be safe🙂

Most people are postponing their 2020 weddings to 2021, expecting 2021 to work out so I’m not sure why it would be selfish for you to plan for a wedding in a year. I think it’s completely fine!

I was thinking the same! We are just so over considerate we don’t want to come insensitive to covid crisis. Wet aren’t having a wedding party. So they don’t have to buy specific dresses and such. 🤷🏽‍♀️🙂 we’re still going for it❤️

Yes I would totally keep going for it! A year is so far away that you should keep planning, no one should say that’s insensitive of you! Good luck Smiley smile

My wedding is supposed to be this Sept and our backup date is next May so you should be good I would think and hope! A year will definitely make guests feel better by then and there should be a vaccine by then.

Thank you Denise! I think so too! I hope the world just gets safer and better. There’s so many weddings that’s had to be rearranged and virtual I hope every bride gets to do her dream wedding the way she wants 😊❤️

No of course you are not selfish. This is supposed to be the best time of your life and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise! And May 2021 is so far out. You dont even need a backup date, that’s so far away

Our wedding was supposed to be May 30 this year. But we had to postpone, so we pushed it a year out, to May 29, 2021. We figured a year from now, things will be calmed down, and open enough for us to have the wedding we wanted and have been planning for two years now!

I think you're totally fine for next May. Good luck, and happy planning!!

We are moving forward with our March 2021 wedding, no backup plan. Only way we will postpone is if our venue makes us, everything else we will just find a backup vendor for. Hoping all 75 guests will attend but if they shouldn't because they are uncomfortable with the way the world is at that point in time, we'll have no hard feelings! May even try and include people virtually. Will see how many actually rsvp no come the fall when we send invite. But we are going ahead with things as planned no matter what! Good luck to you!
