Hi ladies! We set our wedding date for May 15, 2021 before the pandemic was even a thought. We felt very safe in our date up until recently we now don’t know what to think. We are getting married in Falmouth, MA. We do have the option to do everything outside. What is everyone thinking for May?
Hi date twin! I just spoke with our venue yesterday and they are planning to proceed with all of their spring 2021 weddings. We will have to cut some - originally planned for 150-160, but will have to move forward with around 100-120, but that's not really a big compromise for us.
*Edit to add that our will be completely outdoors as well.

Hi!! That’s great news. Are you in MA? Our venue is planning to go ahead as planned, following any restrictions. We were planned for 110 people but have flexibility at our venue to cut it down to whatever we need. I feel optimistic, but then get worried all over again!

No I’m in VA. Sorry, I didn’t notice your headline being about MA at first. But our restrictions have been super strict with us being right near DC, but our venue is hopeful that the vaccine will ease restrictions come Feb or March. I’m also super hopeful but scared to be TOO hopeful haha.
I spoke to one of my venues last week and he is hopeful that we will be able to proceed. We are touching base again at the end of the month to make sure we are still on track. As for the venue for the ceremony, I am waiting to hear back and might need to cut my list down for the ceremony but for the reception we should be ok with 100 people.
My fiance and I were going to have our bug wedding May 22nd in MA but we've been told that as of right now we could only have 50 people including staff. So we pushed it back to October 23rd. However we don't want to wait so we are eloping May 22nd still to Bar Harbor, ME too.
We were planning a very small ceremony for May 1, 2021, but in mid-December 2020 we decided to cancel. We were going to do the small May 2021 ceremony and then a larger "celebration" with all our friends and family once things settled down, but trying to plan and budget for two ceremonies was too stressful for us, especially since some of our immediate family would be traveling from out of state for the small May 2021 ceremony. We decided that for us it made more sense to cancel the small May ceremony and just wait until vaccinations are more widespread and case numbers are way down to start planning a ceremony that can hopefully include a few more friends and family.
Hi! I’m in Mass and our date is 5/21. Our ceremony and reception are outdoors but unfortunately we were just told yesterday that the current limit for outdoors at our venue is 20 people 😔 The banquet manager has a meeting this week and we will go from there. Hoping and praying the number goes back up to at least 50. We were planning to have a small wedding either way but 20 people is just crazy. Thinking of all the pandemic brides haha we’re all in this together I guess!

Aw i’m so sorry to hear that! When are you making your final decision by? We’re hoping cases will go down a little once we get passed the holiday surge and that restrictions will lessen, but it is just so hard to know! We are in it together though💜💜
Hi! We are getting married in Foxborough on May 8 and then our reception is supposed to be in Providence RI. Right now the reception’s restaurant isn’t even open...they’ll be figuring out by the end of the month when they will be open but it’s getting close!
We originally planned to have almost 200 people at our wedding but right now we will be happy with 50...also we live in Texas so who knows what the travel restrictions will be. It’s all been so up in the air, it’s just hard to plan.
